Peer Tutor Program |
What is it?
Peer Tutoring is a way for students to get on-on-one help and reinforce the learning that occurs in the classroom. At RKWC, students are matched with their peers and meet weekly for extra help. Tutors help students who may have problems with their academic work or with adjusting to the work at college. Tutors help students - tutees - at a pace the tutees are comfortable with. |
Who Benefits?
Both the 'Tutor' and the 'Tutee' benefit from the peer tutoring process. The Tutors are able to reinforce their own knowledge of a subject and tutees become more confident with the concepts taught in their classes. Both tutors and tutees benefit from this experience by improving their creativity, experimentation, and problem-solving skills. |
